The Estonian Fund for Nature (ELF) is the Estonian partner responsible for the Estonian Action Site Parnu catchment. ELF will engage with local communities, ensure communication and knowledge transfer between Estonian and international partners and draw attention to the necessity and benefits of wetland restoration in Estonia. ELF has extensive experience in practical wetland restoration and aims to map local needs and reflect them into restoration planning. By facilitating local community involvement and ownership, ELF hopes to enable lasting impacts of the project results in Estonia. ELF will implement engagement activities at the Estonian Action Site to interact with local communities and stakeholders about the benefits of mire restoration. Additionally, ELF will gather information from public and private entities about the economic feasibility of restoration, as well as compiling policy recommendations and outreach materials.
