Radboud University (RU) will contribute their expertise in biogeochemical and metacommunity indicators of peatland health. RU and the subcontracted Stichting Bargerveen will share essential knowledge related to the key factors and processes that underlie the functioning, degradation and restoration of peatland ecosystems at different spatial scales. Their diverse knowledge encompasses biogeochemistry, ecohydrology, nutrient cycling, greenhouse gas balances, plant and animal ecology, landscape ecology and biodiversity, including keystone species and indicator species of microbes, plants and (in)vertebrates.
