As a WaterLANDS partner, University of Leeds will contribute to practical restoration by developing smart indicators and scalable solutions, creating a safe operating space for wetlands, and supporting PeatDataHub as part of database development. In particular, University of Leeds will lead in assessing the drivers and thresholds of change for European wetlands. They will also collaborate to monitor community engagement processes at the Action Sites. Additionally, the University will lead a report on market demand for and investor interest in wetland ecosystem services. University of Leeds will provide support for Knowledge Site connectivity and act as co-managers of the Yorkshire Integrated Catchment Solutions Programme (iCASP) Action site.. Their involvement with Yorkshire iCASP regional non-academic organisations provides a coordinated network of agencies engaged in supporting and delivering landscape-scale wetland restoration.
