Balkani Wildlife Society

Balkani Wildlife Society (BWS)’ main role within WaterLANDS will be to lead the restoration work at the Dragoman Marsh Action Site. BWS will contribute to all sectors of the project through its activities at the Dragoman Marsh. The restoration work is a continuation of BWS’ activity in the area since 1996. The Wetland Conservation Centre and the land plots which are owned and managed by BWS will facilitate many of the project activities. Previous projects and baseline studies in the area will provide valuable knowledge on diverse topics including biodiversity, restoration management, carbon sequestration and water quality.
