Wetlands International Europe Association

Wetlands International Europe Association (WI EU) will lead the project’s activities focused on policy outreach and advocacy for the sustainable use of wetlands. Specifically, WI EU will organise workshops and meetings to showcase the positive impact wetlands restoration has on domains such as climate change, disaster risk reduction and in supporting the EU in achieving its domestic and international goals. At the core of their role, WI EU will compile and publish key project achievements as well as actively engage with policymakers from relevant EC bodies and UN agencies. The aim is to influence policy moments and development such as the European Green Deal, including the EU Nature Restoration Law and the EU Biodiversity Strategy.
