On November 9, over 20 volunteers came to help mow and clear vegetation around the path of the Dragoman Marsh boardwalk, with the aim to create more open water areas. Open water areas support a variety of biodiversity in the marsh, for example by allowing more light for light-loving plants and providing hunting opportunities for herons.
Over the course of the day, the volunteers removed rotten timber from the old boardwalks and mowed and cleared the vegetation.
A big thank you to all the volunteers who took part for their enthusiasm and dedication!
