Video: Cuilcagh-Anierin Uplands Special Area of Conservation
The Cuilcagh-Anierin Uplands Special Area of Conservation (SAC) is a mountainous region in the north-west of Ireland. The area contains many important protected habitats, plants and animals, including blanket bog, feather moss and red grouse. The region is also an important place for communities and local farmers, and generations of families have lived and worked on this land.
Watch the video to learn about how WaterLANDS and LIFE IP Wild Atlantic Nature are working with farmers to conserve and protect this region to ensure that the habitats and communities here will continue to thrive.
