Deliverable 6.5 - Inspirational Promotional Activities and Commence Construction of Facilities for Access and Amenity

Deliverable D6.5 acts as a demonstrator with the purpose to:

                                        1. Show the innovative promotional activities which have been undertaken at our Action Sites (restoration sites) at Venice Lagoon, Dragoman Marsh in Bulgaria, the Pärnu Catchment in Estonia, Great North Bog in northern England, Cuilcagh Anierin in north-west Ireland and the Ems-Dollard Estuary in the Netherlands.
                                        2. Present the physical facilities which have been provided at each Action Site to encourage public access and appreciation of the environment.

WaterLANDS has used a range of approaches to communicate the need for, and benefits of restoration and the outputs from the project. These approaches have, at times, revealed a vision for the future, have introduced people to the distinct benefits of restoration for local communities, and to the contribution of restoration to climate change mitigation and biodiversity gain.
