On November 8th, 2022, Arnaud Terrise of Plan Bleu and WaterLANDS presented the project at a side event during the Ramsar Convention's COP14 on Wetlands in Geneva, Switzerland.
The side event, entitled "Unpacking the Potential of Wetlands for Addressing Climate Change and Biodiversity Loss" aimed to enhance the knowledge of ways ecosystem-based approaches in the context of wetlands can offer for mitigating and adapting to climate change, protecting biodiversity and delivering ecosystem services on a global scale.
This exchange, which was co-organized by the International Union for Conservation of Nature and the Geneva Environment Network, with support from NetworkNature and the EU Commission, will enable policymakers and practitioners to integrate and utilize wetlands into their commitments to achieve sustainable development goals and support countries in reaching climate and biodiversity targets.
